The Retreat Institute is not open yet as such.

However, starting per January 2026, one small apartment available for long time retreatants, consisting of a living room cum shrine and meditationsbox/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, on basis of self-catering, is available.

Besides from short group retreats or long group retreats, you may also hold a personal and individual retreat, after having registered on our website, thus having exchanged basic information. Chöje Lama Palmo considers it very important everyone is able to go on retreat, your contribution for a room mirrors that fact.

Your contribution will include the room plus full board of a simple but nourishing style. In the future, food will either be grown on our own property or – since we are in the midst of farms, come from nearby farmers, with only few things from the supermarket. For Chöje Lama Palmo it is important that students receive a healthy, nourishing, sesonal sustainable diet; a healthy body for a healthy mind.

The farm is embedded in a beautiful area, away from the village. For those wishing to undergo a half retreat, there is a small swimming pond nearby, countless marked walking trails for the time between your formal meditation sessions.

Lamala also plans to purchase few bikes for the house in the future, so that everyone in semi retreat will be able to move around environmental friendly and healthily. Please abstain from using your car and instead use public transport for your journey. Please see how to reach us!

Furthermore, you will be able to have insight in Lamalas Welfare project, creating a safe space and hospice for farming animals, currently it is feral cats.

Please bring your own ritual items. In the future, there will be a small dharma shop available. Currently, all books by Guru Vajradhara H. H. Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa translated into German are available in the center.

Further, you may support us in various ways so that the European Seat of Guru Vajradhara, especially for German speaking individuals, will soon be completed, offering many people the opportunity to retreat for the benefit of all sentient beings!
