On this day we commemorate the Parinirvana, the Great Passing of Marpa, founder of Marpa Kagyu and one of the early incarnations of Guru Vajradhara HH Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpas, who brought the Kagyu dharma from India to Tibet and firmly established the lineage of the oral transmission there.
