Of course <strong><a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/lineage\/buddha\">Buddha Shakyamuni<\/a><\/strong> was a historical personality who lived more than 2500 years ago:&nbsp; <strong>Prince Siddharta<\/strong> who attained enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings and became Buddha (Skr. fully Awakened) Shakyamuni.<\/p>\n<p>But Buddha means so much more! The potential fo all sentient beings is Buddha. That does not mean that we are Buddha already. It is our essence, our seed dozing inside of us well hidden which needs to be awakened.
