H. <\/a><a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/chamgon-kenting-tai-situ-rinpoche\/\">Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa<\/a>. <\/strong>The Palpung lineage is older than 2600 years old.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-17975\" src=\"https:\/\/www.palpung.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Palpung-300x181.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"181\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.palpung.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Palpung-300x181.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.palpung.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Palpung-705x426.jpg 705w, https:\/\/www.palpung.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Palpung-450x272.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.palpung.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Palpung.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Palpung in <strong>Dege<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palpung.eu\/en\/about-us\/palpung\/palpung-thubten-choekhor-ling\/\">Palpung Thubten Ch\u00f6khor Ling<\/a>,<\/strong> Eastern Tibet was<strong> founded in 1727<\/strong> by the<a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/chamgon-kenting-tai-situ-rinpoche\/the-12-palpung-chamgon-kenting-tai-situpas\/\"><strong> Guru Vajradhara H. H. The 8th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa<\/strong><\/a>, once hosted more than thousand monks and was endued with the leading monastic university (shedra) of the area. It was known for its huge library with its more than 324 000 texts and a collection of 10,150 thangka paintings. Palpung was leading in the art of spiritual painting and <a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/chamgon-kenting-tai-situ-rinpoche\/the-12-palpung-chamgon-kenting-tai-situpas\/\"><strong>Guru Vajradhara H. H. Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa <\/strong><\/a>the founder of Karma Gadri style of painting. During the time of <a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/chamgon-kenting-tai-situ-rinpoche\/the-12-palpung-chamgon-kenting-tai-situpas\/\"><strong>HGuru Vajradhara H. H. 11th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa<\/strong><\/a>, Palpung enjoyed best reputation in spiritual, studious and artistic excellence and authority. Palpung is seat of the eight practice lineages of <strong><a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/lineage\/vajrayana\/\">Vajrayana<\/a>, <\/strong>the<a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/lineage\/vajrayana\/rime\/\"><strong> Rime <\/strong><\/a>movement evolved in Palpung. During the late 1950s, the monastery was destroyed. H. The twelfth Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa<\/a><\/strong>. It is the Seat of the current, 12<sup>th<\/sup> incarnation of the Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoches.
