Palpung Yeshe Chökhor Ling together with its branches, the Palpung Yeshe Chölings, is part of the Palpung Congregation of the Kuanding Tai Situpa lineage of Vajrayana Buddhism.
It was founded ten years ago as Kagyu Thubten Chöling under my spiritual guidance and renamed by me in 2007 in response to the needs of individuals. Its activities have been growing over the years and it became a place from where the dharma spreads. A place where individuals seeking for spiritual practice have a home. Not only in Austria but wherever Gelongma Karma Tsultrim Palmo goes to share the precious dharma and I want to encourage her to do every thing according genuine Dharma with pure motivation and never try to selfglorify on the name of Dharma.
It is important to have proper place and practice facilities of the various kinds erected: a temple, individual as well as group facilities for short and long time retreats, three year retreats and space for a monastic community to live, a place for nuns to practice and study the holy dharma. Since there is scarcity of monastic facilities in the West, I feel it is particularly important to also provide a place for a nunnery on the premises,
these projects by Gelongma Karma Tsultrim Palmo's sincere dedication and committed endeavors, her efforts and work. My prayers and blessings for the ultimate achievement of these noble goals are with her and whoever is connected with her in genuine dharma practice.
Being such a big project, much will be needed. Therefore I encourage everyone whoever feels inspired by these dharma activities, to contribute in whatever way one is capable so that through this project the sacred lineage of ultimate peace may shine forth throughout the entire world.

Merit is a powerful means and necessary requisite to reveal pristine wisdom in one's mindstream. It can be generated in various ways. In the Mahayana path, the aspirant engages in the Six Perfections. One of them is generosity. It contributes to cutting off attachment which prevents us from progressing. Therefore, if we give to everybody, without expecting any reward we create the firm basis for our spiritual development. Generosity is measured by the motivation, by the attitude and readiness to give whatever is needed, not the action in itself. One aspect of generosity is material giving - when you give with perfectly pure altruistic intention, the amount is not important.
