Kagyu

- Gyalwang Karmapa
Kagyu, one of the four great schools of Tibetan Buddhism, is basically divided into Marpa Kagyu, named after Marpa Lotsawa, which developed in many branches and Shangpa Kagyu which was brought to Tibet from India by Khyungpo Naljor.
Kagyu is renowed as lineage of oral transmission.
H. H. Gyalwang Karmapa is the Supreme Head of all Kagyupas.
