Where is Shangrila?

Ironically on her honeymoon to India's monasteries, the successful journalist, PR-advisor and photographer Sabine Januschke, becomes clear she that wants to change her life drastically. During a long stay in a monastery in Nepal she decides to become a Buddhist nun, leaving behind her hectic life in the fast lane with bursting closets and a strong foible for shoes, which she lived up to that moment from one day to the next. She divorces her husband, and then exchanges her career with frugal monastic life. Later she becomes one of the few female Buddhist lamas worldwide. After stays in India and the US she returns to her country of origin and now resides in Austria as Gelongma Lama Palmo. In this book she shares all the experiences and insights which she acquired on her path to a more happy life, and hence also allows us to journey with her on the path towards a more relaxed and meaningful life.
