For meditating upon Chenrezig, Zabtig Drolma or any other yidam you need to have bodhisattva vows and refuge, not for silent meditation. Please contact us prior to your intended coming.
Zhine (Skr. Shamata) is a quiet meditation to stabilize mind in order to calmly abide, to develop calmness of mind. It is one of the basic meditations known in all Buddhist traditions. Zhine can be practiced by everyone - by Buddhists as well as by interested people. No preliminary knowledge required.
Lhagtong (Skr. Vipashyana) is a meditation technique which helps to develop insight into the nature of things, dharmata. It is being practiced on basis of the methods of Zhine meditation.
Chenrezig (Skr: Avalokiteshvara) is the bodhisattva of compassion. He is seen as the embodiement of all buddha’s compassion. The benefit of this practice is dedicated to the decrease of suffering and the increase of peace in the world.
Droljam (Skr. Tara) Green Tara is the female bodhisattva of compassion. Green Tara has the special quality to protect her followers and to save them from suffering, fear and dangers. She is seen as the embodiement of all the enlightened buddha activity.
Drolkar White Tara has the special function and quality to promote long life, for the practitioner as well as for others. The meditation of "wishfulfilling wheel" which we practice comes to us through Atisha and was done by all great meditators of our lineage.
Sangye Menla (Skr. Bhaisajyaguru) Bhaishajya means medication. This practice helps to dissolve sickness, both for the practitioner as well as for others. It particularly clears away the three poisons which keep us in samsara: ignorance, anger and attachment.
Lama Gyangbo - Calling the Guru from Afar is a very melodiously chanted practice that helps to increase our devotion and compassion, core of all Vajrayana practice.
Ngondro - The Practices preparing for Mahamudra. They are a pre-requisite of every individual attempting to seriously practice Vajrayana. Participants need the permission of their own teacher as well as to take a committment of practice with Lama Palmo if they wish to engage in these profound practices under the guidance of Lama.
